(Featured on RescueLeader.com) The 7-compartment rescue body is mounted on a Chevrolet C5500, four-door cab with four-wheel drive. It's 21,5000 lb. GVWR provides over 6000 lbs. of payload capacity. A direct-drive 12kw PTO generator provides power for a Shadow light tower, Simo hydraulic power unit, two removable tripod flood lights, cord reel and multiple power outlets in side and on the exterior of the body.
The extended front bumper features a 12,000 lb. Warn winch. Two electric rewind pre-connected hydraulic reels are installed in the rear extrication compartment.
All warning lights, clearance lights, tail lights, compartment lights and traffic advisor light bar are LED. The LED compartment lights are recessed into the side walls providing ample lighting above and below shelves and trays. A Federal eQ2B siren and a conventional PA300 siren, plus Stuttertone air horns assist in clearing the right-of-way along the busy streets and interstate highway system.
